About Us

We’re more than just “web designers.” We’re a user interface- and user experience-focused team who want to use web standards and Six Apart’s Movable Type software to get the job done right. We cook with our own recipes, too: we’re readers, writers, and photographers — putting our own tools and teachings to use on danandsherree.com.

uiNNOVATIONS is Sherree and Dan Wolfgang. We know a thing or two about the web, Movable Type, and just what an impact it can cause on your life and business. We’ve been using Movable Type since 2003 and think it’s wonderful! Read about our journey in How it Started.

Who is Dan Wolfgang?

Within the Movable Type community, Dan is known as the guy responsible for Eat Drink Sleep Movable Type and the Better File Uploader plugin. But he has a lot more experience with new media than that — here’s a quick look at some highlights:

  • Began publishing tutorials on using and customizing Movable Type in May 2004. Towards the end of 2005 that became the monster that is Eat Drink Sleep Movable Type, featuring quite a bit of MT code, tutorials, discussion, and a large handful of useful plugins.
  • Authoring, writing, blogging (or whatever you’d like to call it) with Movable Type since August 2003, while also gaining a greater knowledge of a lot of the related skills: HTML and CSS, along with web standards, and even a little JavaScript, PHP, Perl, and search engine optimization. Basically, many of the tools needed to build a strong web site.
  • Customer service and technical support experience at the ARRL (the national association for amateur radio), from 1998–2005. Also, a good dose of related experience — project management, CD-ROM production, print production workflow, audio and video editing, and as staff photographer — provided a great deal of opportunity to hone technical, communication, and teaching skills.
  • Writing HTML and simple forms processing on the ARRL website, where he also did a (very) little bit of dabbling in Perl and PHP, from 1996–1998.
  • Dan first cut his teeth on HTML with his little personal website, the Wide World of Slack, back in 1995.
